  • Challenges in the Agricultural Sector, the Role of Public Administrations, and the Opportunities Offered by Agritech at the Meeting in Jolanda di Savoia
  • A day marked by live demonstrations of Diagram’s platforms and the technological tools used directly in the field.

Jolanda di Savoia (FE), 26 march 2025 – «A productive meeting that lays the foundation for future partnerships aligned with Diagram Group’s expansion plan, which targets the Balkans as a key growth area,” summarized Roberto Mancini, CEO of Diagram Group, referring to the workshop held yesterday in Jolanda di Savoia (Fe). As the headquarters of Italy’s first agritech hub and a leading player in agricultural digitalization in Europe, the venue hosted the Serbian research institute Biosense and its spin-off company, Cropt, to present Diagram Group’s upcoming projects.
Key discussion points included the challenges facing the agri-food sector, such as climate change, sustainable use of water and agrochemicals, and the role of public administrations in supporting the industry.
Live demonstrations featured Diagram’s digital platforms, weather stations, sensors, and field tools. Special focus was given to Diagram’s platform for governments and public administrations to manage agricultural funding, as well as tools for soil mapping and crop suitability maps.
Also presented were solutions for climate and economic risk management (targeted at banks and insurers), treatment records, supply chain traceability (including agro-energy chains), and livestock management. Demonstrations highlighted IoT sensors, weather stations, and integrated monitoring platforms.
The Biosense delegation showed strong interest in digital agriculture expertise and potential partnerships in the private Balkan market.
“This meeting with the Biosense Institute delegation is a valuable opportunity to reinforce our leadership in agritech and digital agri-food solutions,” said Mancini. “The challenges of climate change and sustainability demand continuous innovation and public-private collaboration. Our commitment extends beyond Italy to the broader European and international landscape, as shown by this dialogue with Biosense,” he concluded.

Diagram was established in 2024, following the transformation of Ibf Servizi, a leading group in precision agriculture solutions, after its acquisition by the Nextalia fund. Thanks to a focused M&A strategy and strong commercial development, the company quickly became a leader in Italy and Europe in providing precision agriculture services and developing farm management software.

On December 21, 2024, the official signing—subject to the approvals required by Italian and European regulations prior to finalization—was completed between Nextalia and BF, the current shareholders of the Diagram Group, and CDP Equity and Trilantic Europe, who, together with BF as a reinvesting party, will proceed with the acquisition of 100% of the group’s shares.

As a leading provider of precision agriculture services, technological solutions, and professional software applications for the agricultural sector, Diagram serves a client portfolio spanning over 3 million hectares in Italy and more than 500,000 hectares internationally. The company employs around 1,000 people, including both staff and collaborators, across multiple locations in Italy and the United Kingdom.
