Our story 


Diagram Group, founded by Nextalia SGR S.p.A., was established in 2024 following the transformation of the IBF Servizi hub, which had originally been created in 2017 through a visionary collaboration between Bonifiche Ferraresi and Ismea, as a centre of excellence in precision agriculture.

Over the years, growth in revenue and expansion into new markets in software development led the Group to invest in acquisitions including Agronica, a leading player in research and development of precision agriculture solutions, Abaco Group, a European leader for over 30 years in developing software platforms for the management and control of land resources for Public Administration, Netsens, and Agriconsulting.

Timeline

2017

IBF Servizi was established through a partnership between Bonifiche Ferraresi and Ismea to provide precision agriculture and technological innovation services to agricultural businesses, agri-food companies, and Public Administration.
From the outset, its mission has been to enhance the social, economic, and environmental sustainability of all supply chains.

2021

IBF Servizi acquires Agronica, a national leader in the development of professional software for the agri-industrial sector, as well as in research and innovation.
Agronica works actively with private research institutes and universities to study and apply the best technologies and the most advanced management paradigms, with the aim of improving the performance of businesses in the sector.

2022

The IBF Group is acquired by Nextalia SGR, the most prominent investment fund in Europe in the agritech sector. Nextalia SGR is a unique investment platform in the Italian landscape and beyond, founded by Francesco Canzonieri together with leading Italian institutional investors (Intesa Sanpaolo, UnipolSai Assicurazioni, Bonifiche Ferraresi and Micheli Associati) and supported by a team of highly qualified professionals.

2023

IBF Servizi acquires Abaco Group, a European leader in providing software solutions for the management and monitoring of land resources.
From precision agriculture to environmental sustainability, Abaco supports industry operators in tackling the challenges of digital transformation, by processing and leveraging data from satellite sources and sensors to optimize production processes.

2024

IBF Servizi becomes DIAGRAM S.p.A., the first agritech hub in Italy and one of the leading players in Europe.

2024

DIAGRAM S.p.A. acquires Netsens, a leading Italian company in the production of monitoring systems for agriculture, meteorology, environmental applications and infomobility, with hundreds of installations both in Italy and abroad.

2024

DIAGRAM S.p.A. acquires Agriconsulting, a long-established company that has been operating for over fifty years in agronomic consulting, monitoring and oversight of European support policies.

2025

CDP Equity and Trilantic Europe each acquire a 41.6% stake in Diagram. BF Agricola retaines a 15% stake following the transaction.
