Malta/London, 3 dicembre 2025 – Diagram and Abaco Group UK announce the successful completion of their acquisition of Bizfront (Malta) on September 25th, 2025, a strategic move designed to strengthen the group’s Agritech operations and service delivery capabilities for Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights (MAFA)
The acquisition brings Bizfront’s Malta-based technological expertise and operational capacity under the Diagram family umbrella, with operations to be managed by Abaco Group UK. The Malta entity will undergo a complete rebrand to Abaco Group Malta by the end of November 2025, featuring a new logo, brand identity, dedicated website linked to abacogroupuk.com, and independent social media presence.
Damien Powell, Director, Abaco Group UK, said: “This acquisition represents a crucial milestone in our agricultural technology strategy. Malta’s growing reputation as a technology hub, combined with Bizfront’s established operational excellence, provides us with the enhanced capacity we need to address critical challenges facing modern agriculture – from water scarcity and irrigation efficiency to soil health management. Our proven expertise in soil mapping and geospatial analysis is increasingly vital as both Mediterranean and UK farmers face mounting pressures around water availability and soil degradation.
Roberto Mancini, CEO, Diagram, said: “The acquisition directly supports Abaco Group’s ability to scale its Agritech operations, providing critical infrastructure for delivering innovative agricultural technology solutions to Malta & UK government programmes. As a European leader in digital agriculture and geospatial land management with over 30 years of experience, Abaco Group UK already provides the core platforms used by DEFRA and the Rural Payments Agency to administer environmental and agricultural support schemes across England. The Malta operation strengthens this capability while positioning the group to leverage Diagram’s expertise in soil mapping, drone technology, and satellite agriculture across new markets”
“Agricultural technology is at the intersection of sustainability, food security, and digital innovation,” added Roberto Mancini, CEO, Diagram. “By integrating Bizfront’s capabilities into our operations, we’re not only strengthening our Abaco UK service delivery and also positioning ourselves to drive agricultural innovation across European and Commonwealth markets. This acquisition is a concrete step toward our ambitious vision of exceeding €120 million in turnover by 2030.”
The move aligns with Diagram’s bold investment strategy to invest up to €200 million in operations benefiting UK and Commonwealth agricultural sectors. Backed by CDP Equity and Trilantic Europe, Diagram is Italy’s leading Agri-Tech hub, uniting expertise in data, satellite analytics, and AI to drive innovation across agriculture and food systems.
By combining Italian technological excellence with British agricultural expertise and Commonwealth market access through operations in Malta and the UK, the group is creating unprecedented opportunities for sustainable agricultural growth.
The Malta operation will focus on software development, data analytics, and technology solutions supporting both government contracts and private sector agricultural clients.
Bizfront’s team will join the Diagram family, bringing specialised expertise in technology delivery and operational excellence. The Malta team will continue to operate with other teams within Diagram, strengthening the group’s capacity to deliver advanced tools for sustainable farming and supply chain traceability.
“We’re excited to join forces with Abaco Group UK and Diagram,” said Doriana Gajda, Country Director of Abaco Group Malta “This partnership allows us to contribute to meaningful agricultural innovation while expanding our reach into new markets and technologies. The opportunity to support UK agricultural policy implementation while serving Mediterranean and Commonwealth clients represents tremendous potential for growth and impact.”
